Training

Working dog owners of all breeds are welcome to join us for training at one of our 3 Phoenix locations.

PRC club members train primarily to participate in the German working dog sport of IPO (formerly known as "Schutzhund"). IPO is a three phase discipline which includes, tracking, obedience and protection. Additionally, PRC helps members prepare their dogs to pass working examinations such as the BH (obedience), Ztp (breed suitability), FH (tracking), and AD (endurance). Attention is also given to preparing dogs to participate in German-style breed shows for conformation.

The training system and philosophy that is promoted by PRC is facilitated by our Training Director, Jim Laubmeir. Jim is our Sr. Helper, and is a National Level USA Helper. Jim has more than 20 years experience and has worked countless local, regional, and national level trials and working related events. Jim combines his expertise and training modalities with the proven training system of Michael Ellis. Michael is a world renown working dog training expert.

If you have a sincere interest in dedicating yourself to learning and applying the skills necessary to prepare your dog to participate and excel in working dog sports, then PRC may be the right club for you and your dog.

Contact Jim Laubmeier for specific details regarding training locations, dates, and applicable fees.

Memberships

To become a member of Phoenix Rottweiler Club, you must first contact our Training Director, Jim Laubmeier. Jim will coordinate a time with you to visit a club training session, and will want to gather sufficient information about you, your dog(s), and your training goals and objectives, prior to determining if you are a good fit for our club.

PRC is a full member club of United States Rottweiler Club (USRC). As such, perspective members must first become members in good standing with USRC. Membership information for USRC can be found at USRConline.com.

Membership dues must be paid in full for the year prior to being given full member status. Membership renewals are due in January of each year. You can apply to be a member or renew your membership dues on Zooza!
